Next up: Cook's Land Speed Shootout: September 15-19

Coming off another record-setting Speed Week, with another Hot Rod Trophy, the Speed Demon crew is headed back to the salt for Mike Cook's Landspeed Shootout. The weather looks to be perfect and if the salt holds up, it should be a fast week. Part of the Speed Demon crew spent a week at Bonnevile grooming a 12-mile stretch of salt for the Shootout. When we started, there were ruts, thins spots and a very hard crust. After some creative engineering and welding on our equipment, we made progress and created a nice, flat course for the Shootout.
There are fewer participants this year in the Shootout and much of the costs are falling to Speed Demon. If you'd like to help sponsor Speed Demon for the Shootout, please contact Ron Main at rmain@canogarebar.com or 818-523-7005.
